As I said before, I’m taking The Fringe in a new direction so I went out to find someone that would fit my idea of what I was looking for, and it was a perfect fit. Meet Jacki Northstar, and the following are her words and thoughts.
Rawr!
Write something about myself you say?
Hrm… where to start?
I guess one of the most noticeable things about me is that I’m rather small, at least compared to most others,
although it resembles my actual height of 1.73 m.
Nowadays it seems like most people wandering about the lands of their Second Life enjoy standing out by boosting
their height and muscle, or, especially around the furry community, other parts as well.
Sure I don’t know why, maybe they are just adopting to the common sense of everything needs to be bigger and better.
But that’s not my way. Personally, I enjoy finding my own way instead of just following given paths.
The way I look is supposed to resemble that. It might be average or common when taking a look back at the real world,
but that’s exactly what I was aiming for. Most people are just like that, average in shape for to say, and I didn’t want to be a fantasy creature of sorts – I can already guess how funny that sounds given that I got claws and tail. x3
In my years of being around this wondrous and ever changing place, there have been many changes. Things I enjoyed have vanished from the virtual ground,
while many others came to life. I guess it’s hard to speak of the “good old times” concerning SL, since so much has changed to the better.
There have been quite some people not understanding why or what we are, but I like to think that the acceptance of Furries has grown over time.
I, myself am quite open-minded, caring and friendly, since I would want to be met with the same.
While my fur color may change from time to time, I will always remain a wolf with grey fur, which I consider my real color.
You might ask yourself why a wolf?, so I shall answer it: wolves are social, stick together and care for each other. Few other animals
have a similar complex social structure. I also blame movies like Lassie, since those have influenced me as well.
In fact for me wolves stand for a harmonic social life, defending each other when needed….and I care a lot about my friends, too!
Music is a big part of my life as well and I would go as far as saying that I couldn’t be without it.
There’s a lot I enjoy, but what really gets my tail swishing is Linkin Park.
Here and there I might be caught singing and dancing to their tunes.
But listening to enticing music isn’t the only thing that I pursue.
I’m also a little nerdy wolf, and my friends will agree here, often playing video games getting lost in their virtual worlds at times
or seeking out challenges in Pen&Paper role-play – there can never be enough P&P!
On more rare occasions I’m enjoying the rewards of putting furry art to paper.
Wouldn’t say that I am somewhere as good as those great and well-known artists the fandom admires though I guess my work is pretty decent, yet rare – I don’t get to draw as much as I’d like to.
And even more rare are occasions on which it’s not lines but letters I get to paper.
With English not being my native language, this proves to be a special challenge.
You could say your german wolfy here is a jack-of-all-trades, yep.
Aside that anything new and interesting also catches my attention.
Interesting places with enthralling activities, furniture with style and not at least do interesting people!
I’m rather easy to approach, so don’t hesitate to start a conversation when seeing me around.
Speaking of interesting people… *looks at the photographer who also happens to be the blogger and gives a meaningful smirk*
But I get drawn away!
My name also has nothing to do with the known mall….Northstar.
As silly as it may sound, I realized it just about two weeks or so later.
Originally, I was just intending to find a meaningful last name that didn’t sound too….girlish or blue-eyed.
Since then some time has passed again and I grew to like my name.
It sounds a bit mysterious. dangerous, but also in a way cute, flirty and welcoming, all things that I am myself – or at least I hope so!
Being a wolf also means that I am mostly attracted to those of my kind, but with an understanding that includes all canines in general.
I’m not a cat person, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be friends.
Dragons have also been among those creatures I find intriguing, while I also won’t bite a human right ahead – as long as they are welcoming me also.
Oh I know you guys are expecting something to mark the peak of my telling you about myself.
As for that all you frisky people out there, know that belly scritches get the playful dog out of this wolf.
My preferences? I’m not saying I’d be open-minded just to null it in the last sentence…
Male, Herm, Female and everything in between, what really matters to me is your personality and the way that makes you interesting. *winks*
Now, I guess that was enough about me.
Hope you enjoyed as much as myself!
Loves~
